More people than ever are visiting the library. The number of visitors has grown continuously over the past 10 years.
We need to expand to increase the offerings of books and materials. We’ve maxed out our current space.
Our program participation numbers have grown so large, that some programming needs to be held offsite or after hours to accommodate the number of attendees. The new library will address this with a 150-seat public meeting room.
We have outgrown the children’s room at storytime. Our current space cannot comfortably fit 40 children and their caregivers.
The new library will give us room to create age-targeted rooms for children and teens.
The new library will have dedicated study rooms with A/V capabilities.
The new library will provide much-needed expanded parking.
It will also include expanded storage, which is non-existent in the current building.
The new library will provide expanded staff work areas and a breakroom.
And, the new building will be a better handicap-accessible location.
